1) Getting Started

Travel Chinese is designed for travelers: short lessons, practical phrases, and speaking practice for real situations.

  • Onboarding: Learn what the app offers in 3 quick screens.
  • Language: Choose your UI language (you can change it later).
  • Plan: Pick a learning plan that matches your travel schedule.

2) Choose a Learning Plan

Plans organize your lessons by days (e.g., 7-day, 15-day, 30-day). Each day includes listening, key phrases, dialog, and speaking practice.

Recommended
  • 7-day: A fast crash course before your trip.
  • 15-day: Balanced schedule for confidence.
  • 30-day: Best for long-term mastery and role-play practice.

Tip: If you change your plan later, your progress is saved per plan.

3) Daily Lessons

Each day is structured to help you understand, repeat, and speak naturally:

Dialog

Tip: Use “Saved Phrases” to build your own travel cheat sheet.

5) AI Speaking Practice

In AI Practice, you can role-play travel situations (hotel check-in, ordering food, asking for directions). Speak naturally and build confidence before the trip.

  • Tap the mic button to start speaking.
  • Try to match the target sentence clearly.
  • Save lines you want to review later.

Tip: For best results, use a quiet environment and speak at a natural speed.

6) Save & Review Phrases

Tap the bookmark/heart icon to save important phrases. Saved phrases are available in one place for quick access.

  • Create a personal “must-use” list for your trip.
  • Review anytime with audio playback.
  • Jump back to the original topic for context.

7) Offline Use

Travel Chinese is built for travel — you can keep learning even when the internet is limited.

  • Lessons and saved phrases remain available offline (depending on downloaded content).
  • Audio playback works when files are bundled or cached on device.

Tip: Open your key lessons once before traveling to ensure content is ready offline.
